Lena was born in Siberia, on the border with China and Mongolia. She having graduated from music school as a piano and vocal major, she then went on to major in Asian Studies and Chinese Philosophy at Novosibirsk State University. Her academic theses and scientific research have since been published in both Russian and international magazines. In 2012 Lena has received Master of Science in Lund University with Oriental cultures specialization. Since 2014 Elena is conducting PHD research in visual anthropology and urban studies in Brazil.

Visual arts and sound art performer, had numerous international audio-visual exhibitions (Spain, Sweden, Brazil, China, Japan).

Ambassador of Shanghai World Music School based in Tongji University Design and Innovation School.

Lena is winner of Confucius grant for young scholars at the Social Science and Urban Development Institute of Fudan University.
